“The Words” is the name given to a module in which the company’s dancers create and assemble their own short choreographies. They have performed and toured extensively over the years with diverse repertoires.
The text from 2005 is as follows:
The works are entirely independent of each other, yet speak the same language, looking at the same point, and depict the different paths and experiences of the dancers. These are entirely single-word sentences, far removed from the concern of combining words to create a complete sentence. Each work will open a door to a different story, a different world, but in all of them, the “concern” is the opening of that door. Perhaps a meaningful sentence could be formed when the words are combined, but the aim is sought not in the whole, but in the details.
